Guys,

Here is a pic of what Darrel calls his "Plain version of the new EDC Dominator. I almost hate to describe a knife this pretty as a plain model.

Very nice knife. You have to appreciate the small details, even in the "plain" versions. For example, how the front handle piece is milled to mirror the cutout of the locking bar on the reverse side. And the slush fund continues to slowly grow......

It's only a mistake if you fail to learn from it!

I have gone back many times to look at the pictures of Greg's EDC. I like the plain version a lot. Thanks for posting a pic of another one for me to drool over.

Cheers,
Damon

It really should be said that what Darrel is doing goes beyond producing another excellent knife.

(Sorry to go into suck mode, but it needs to be said)

Darrel made a great knife called the Krait. He could still be taking orders for it now if he were willing. But he didn't want to rest on his achievment, or spend the rest of his life making Kraits.

So he took everything he learned with the Krait, and came up with the Apogee. Another dinger that he could have spent years filling orders on. Another model that other makers work a career toward, and Darrel gathered up what he could learn from it, and put it down to come up with something new - again.

These pieces are in a price range that makes them actually available to the same people who would buy production knives like CRKs, TiNives and Microtechs. Hand made, with individual service after the sale.

Darrel is an artist and a craftsman. I applaud him for introducing yet another beautiful piece of work.

(Suck mode off)
