Just received my Ralph/Vanguard EDC and man is it ever so sweet! I got one of the ceramic peen finished models and really like the satin gray finish of the titanium handles. The blade is an impressive 4" in length and w i d e. The flats are satin finished while the hollow grind portion has the ceramic peen finish. This one is simple like my Sebenza which I really like. The frame lock is very secure and gives the blade Sebenza like lockup. I haven't had time to test out the 420V steel but imagine that it will cut and cut and cut. The knife feels great in my hand and I really like the "flipper" option. The only thing I don't like is the placement of the clip. It allows about a 1/2" of the handle to stick out of my pocket. I may contact Darrel and see about retrofitting it with the deep pocket clip like the MADD MAXX has. BTW this carries as a tip down model.

All in all I love this one! Darrel and Les have really put together a knife that is simple and functional yet very classy. You can check them out on www.robertsoncustomcutlery.com

Darrel, Les...thanks for a great design and even better knife!

Looks great, Art. Lots of luck with it. That Brain Tighe piece pictured on the same page also looks like a real winner.

Art! Long time no see :) Hope all is well out your way. I picked up a Vanguard Talonite EDC at the SE Custom Show. It's a great knife, I love the flipper too! The blade flips out very easily with little effort, and it's very sharp. On the contrary, I like the new clips that DDR is using. Slides in and out of the pocket easier than most clips. You'll love the S90V steel, its currently one of my favorite steels. Congrats on your newest acquisition!
