Hi All,

I'm considering getting one of the RAM knives. Besides the DLC coating what are the differences between the two knives? Seems like the CKT has a diff steel but I can't find much info on 14C268N and is listed as being lighter by .2 ounces?

Is 14C268N a much better steel? I prefer plain coated blades but am a bit of a steel snob...

They are the same knife, one is coated.
I weighed mine on a gram scale and there is hardly any difference at all. .01 something.
The steel is Sandvik 14C28N, made specifically for Kershaw.
An upgrade if you will, from 13C26. Better edge holding, better corrosion resistance.

Now, as far as I can recall, the 1910 and CKT's were done up in 13C26 to begin with
and I'm not sure if the new one's are 14C28N yet.
Help with that anyone??

mike
