them hogs are getting intense up here . they are starting to close up my sinuses . mercer sakes alive looks we got us a hog hunt .:D I am not a squeamish pearson by far . but there are a lot more humane ways of killing your pray than stabbing it with a 12 inch Bowie knife . :thumbdn:
 
When I was younger and dumber I went on a hog hunt with knives and dogs a few times. We were not as well organized as those boys though, once the dogs had them we just jumped on and stabbed. As the guy in the video said its a very visceral feeling. Not to mention some of the larger ones can really put a whopping on you. Now days I prefer a rifle, although I've hunted them with spears and pistols as well.

"Humane" like lethal injection, death by firing squad, death by hanging or howzabout beheading?

Hogs are an environmental menace in the US and many other countries. Hogs can devestate native populations of a variety of species, mostly by habitat destruction. Hogs are not "natural". Every wild hog in the world is genetically related to a domesticated species from china. If people can have fun, put food on the table and make money, plus destroy an invasive species, more power to them. In my state it's open season on feral hogs, any time, anywhere it's legal to discharge a firearm...well unless it's your neighbor's hog :)
 
Interesting video. Didn't watch all of it. I sort of liked the scene where all the ATVs took off coming toward you. Reminds me of a posse albeit a hog posse.
 
this makes me re-think buying a Svord von tempsky bowie, as it has a 11" blade, maybe a Svord von tempsky ranger at 6-7/8" blade would be proportional to my arms haha!
 
Although stabbing a hog to death may be a bit inhumane, it's more humane than what those fanatical human pigs who behead men with knives with 5-inch blades. I wouldn't have the stomach for killing a hog cornered and pent in by dogs, but at least the killing would be fairly quick. BTW, I bought two of those Rambo III knives when they first came out and one of them is still in the box. The other is tucked away and I have no intention of selling it. Large knives are dreadful things. I remember the first time someone pulled a Cold Steel Vaquero from their pocket and snapped it open. It was amazing to me that someone could carry such a thing (with all those teeth) in a pocket. The intimidation factor is impressive.
 
Even though I find stabbing hog with knife bit brutal, and not being used to hunting, it is still better and more ethical way than farming of such animals and keeping them in their little prisons all their life until they get killed for our nourishment.
 
I don't have a problem with hunting . I enjoy it as much as the next guy . the skill of stolking you're pray the excitement of making the kill . . the point I was trying to make was their are cleaner and. quicker ways of killing the an animal . le a thin sharp blade through the base of the neck severing the spinal cord .IMO this seamed more like a let's go stab a pig with a big knife day out . than a hunt
 
The were going straight into the heart with the knife. The spine is pretty hard to stab through and the gristle on a hog, well you would need a pretty stout blade and a much harder thrust to get the job done. Its actually quicker the way they were doing it than shooting.
