The new John Rambo knife he uses in Rambo IV is on pre-order from Hibben knives
or the bargain price of 1250$ you will get the chance to aquire a 18" sharpened piece of D2 steel with a 12" blade of 1/4" thick D2 carbon steel. The handle is cord wrapped, covered with grip tape and has a wrist thong!
A handsewn open top leather pouch should also be available. Looking at the craftmanship that went into this beauty and the use of expensive materials it's a steal. ;)

i'd rather buy 2 busse's for that price! that way i'd get better steel, scales, looks, and a heck of a better deal!!! might even have some money left over! also that rambo knife is sucken ugly!!!

It's kind of funny that we're making fun of this knife, and it's price. Some Neo-Tribal knives that are also well made easily go for that much. I guess we just aren't used to Gil Hibben making a knife in that style. It's probably a pretty good knife, and I'm sure some people will find the knife desirable enough to pay that price.

Neat knife, but not worth $1500. I have a machete that looks very similiar...and it was free!

You guys are missing the point. It's supposed to be ugly. It's a movie prop. People will buy it as a collector's item.

Take it for what it is. It's not meant to be a high end, top quality knife.

cord wrapped with grip tape bound around it? you killing me! for $1500 at least ad in some gorilla glue and black sharpie pen to black out the blade!

I'll save my $1500 and buy several hundred 12" Tramontina and Ontario machetes instead. That ugly think looks like a cross between a meat cleaver, a sugar cane knife and a golok.

Methinks I'll stick with this one... 1 of only 20, an RJ Martin BlackBird, S30V, sharper than just about every other knife I own, with a KILLER sheath... And the hollow handle's wrapped in cord from Jimmy Lile's shop... ALL for LESS than that one by Mr. Hibben... Oh, wait... no wrist thong or tape on mine... :foot: :p;)

...Is it a copy of a movie prop? Nope, but still one HECK of a knife.:thumbup: ... Did I mention for Le$$??? LOL

The knife looks the way it is because Silvester Stallone's character is supposed to have forged it himself in the jungle. Its priced really high because its more of a collectible and will be worth more than any busse (not trying to diss busse here, they make some of the best knives out there) knife in the future

Too rich for my blood. I'll wait for the repo's. I have a pineapple knife that looks a lot like that.

I think Dan at Plowshare Forge can make one for about $200 if you ask him nicely. He uses automobile leaf springs. In fact, it even looks like something he could of made.

I once wanted a replica Kill Bill movie Katana but I couldn't figure out if they were all just a piece of shit or not so I gave up on that idea. After watching that PBS Nova episode on Katanas I now think just about any Katana I can afford is gonna be a piece of shit.:(

I doubt that about these being worth more than any Busse... There will be 100 of them. Have you SEEN the Busse Dragon's Fang? Only 1, The Busse Silent Knight? Few of them left... Hell, Busse SHBM "1 of 300's" will be worth more than these soon, if not already. Maybe if these were limited to a run of 50 or less... What if the movie flops?

JMHO

urgh......

yeah, I like the Sly 1 and the RJ Martin a lot better.

It's a realistic blade that Rambo may / can forge in that native setting (if he has the skills) but for $1250, I'd put my money on a deconstructed Busse. why use D2 on a native chopper??

The knife the guy in "The Hunted" forget in like 5 minuts looked better than this crap.
