Hey guys,
I am new to the forum. Wanted to drop by and introduct myself. I am here to learn from you and gather many ideas for mods as well as share my addiction to blades.:D

As a kid, I watched the Rambo First Blood movies about a million times. I fell in love with the Rambo knives in all of the movies. Of course as a kid I thought nothing of not having a full tang knife so that you can put a bunch of junk in the handle. Did not consider the fact that the blades were literally bolted to the plastic handles.
I am sure all of us at one time had one of these. Check out this awesome vid:

With much research over the years, I have transformed what my idea of the perfect bush knife is. The design of the Becker Series knives won me over and I have purchased the BK-09. I have other brands as well, but none more valuable and durable than this knife. I will be purchasing the BK-14 very soon!!

As I have trolled through the forum a bit, I have noticed quite a bit of modding to the Becker series knives. I believe that this is what Mr. Becker had in mind--they are great out-of-factory, BUT are a black canvas if you will for those of us who love to mod the knife and personalize it.

The mod possibilities are endless! Thanks to Ethan Becker!

Welcome aboard and excellent transition :)

Here's my original BK10 with brown micarta slabs, stripped blade, and fancy leather pants.

I've pounded this sucker threw everything.

Customize and personalize at your will :)

beautiful ! I will eventually buy a BK-2. I will want to get a custom sheath but have no clue where to start. Seems as though most, if not all, of the nylon sheaths add 2-3 inches at the bottom just for a lanyard hole. This is a lot of weight and length added to what are already very heavy setups! kydex sheaths look very light but don't seem to have a lot of storage options.

Anyone with ideas ??

Jump in and get the knife. I sort of want a custom sheath for it too BUT the stock sheath absolutely rules. The BK-2 comes with (IMO) the best sheath of any of the Becker ones I've seen. Maybe you'll get it and decide you don't have to spend the extra cash after all or maybe it'll tempt you to also get a BK-9 and custom pants for that one. :D

Hey Bush-Haus.....

Welcome.....

I think that the BK 14 and BK 10 are a great combo and is my current carry off pavement.....

All Best....

Hey, welcome to Bladeforums and the Beckerforum. I like the BK2 more than the others, just me. I also make custom sheaths as well. Let me know if you're interested. CRKS, and David Marion Proff makes some killer kydex. Welcome and enjoy we are glad you're here. Moose

Thanks for the reply Mr. Becker! Your provide great knives for those that understand quality and value.

Moose, your sheath looks really nice! Goes great with the scales. I will keep that in mind when I get my BK-02, which will be very soon!

I recently watched a You Tube vid about a dude creating scales from a cutting board for his BK-02. Thought this idea was original (or is it?). How do you think these scales would hold up? I would think quite nicely but don't know for sure.....

I went through about 6 of those I think, when I was 7-8yrs old. LOL. The camo one is still found around. WTF are you gonna do with a sheath and sharpening stone and no knife, come on. The 80's were great. Moose
