Know someone who wanted to order some knives online, and more specifically collector knives made to mirror someof those from the Rambo movies.
They were just going to order them online like off of ebay, but I wasn't sure if that was legal?
I don't know a lot about knives and knife laws myself, and looking into things online I didn't see anything about laws regarding knives in the mail and all I could find was more related to possesion in the home and on the person.
He didnt seem to assume there would be any fault in that himself, but I strongly believe that this is more firmly based in assumption as he also believed that it would not be illegal to carry such knives in his car because they are merely "collector's", even though a.) they are bigger than what most states allow and b.) according to what i could find online it isn't legal in our specific state (CT) to carry knives on your person at any time no matter what the size.
However though I have been wrong before and like I said, I myself do not know a whole lot about knives and knife laws, so if I am wrong, do not be afraid to correct me and said corrections would be appreciated.
He seems very convinced that different laws would apply to collectors knives such as these since they are based off of those out of a movie but they are still very real knives so I was just wondering how that worked?
Any input would be appreciated, thanks.
