Here's a pic of the Hibben knife Stallone uses in his new John Rambo flick.
Guess it's ok for the storyline and the part of the world the story is based on.
But, all in all, it's one ugly SOB of a knife. :barf: :)
What a better film it would have been, jmo, :) if the new movie were based in this country, much like the original First Blood movie filmed in Canada.
Wouldn't it have been cool to see Rambo go to Knob Creek and buy a FFBM, along with a few little Busse brothers, to use on a few bad ole boys somewhere here in hometown USA ?
It would be extra cool to have a scene of Rambo buying all the knives at Knob Creek from Jerry.
I think Knob Creek would be an awesome setting for a scene in a Rambo movie.
I believe, Stallone blew his chance for a much more entertaining and interesting movie.
What do you guys think, agree or not ? ;)

I like the Hibben! Albeit looks too nice to have been made in a makeshift forge. :) Base utility at its best, no frills, no kitch, no, eh, bling. ( I cant believe I said that) :p

Might be a little difficult to fashion micarta handles out in the barn eh?

Remember, beauty is in the eye of the beholder, Some people think Busse's are hard to look at.

Nothing against the Hibben, really, but just think a Busse FFBM would have been cooler.
The Hibbon does go with it's storyline very well but I prefer my Busse storyline better. :)

i think this is more of a Lord of the Rings savage object an Orc would carry, over anything :o

My only problem with the knife is the last 1/2 inch or so exposed I for see some people cutting bits and pieces when not careful.

That blade looks pretty useful, like it could chop a communist or terrorist clean in half.

Ugly as sin knife but it looks like it could drop a tree by sheer force of will. A couple of years ago I made a similar knife based on a chinese war falchion and the orc swords from Lord of the Rings. Sadly the knife never performed anywhere near as well as I thought it should. Hopefully Hibbens' will perform a bit better than mine did.
FFBM is still king of the choppers for me though. Long live the Busse!

Yeah I can just imagine more FNG's crawling around this place not to mention a lot less room at the trough!:grumpy:

Looks like a no nonsense simple chopper. I like it :)
Given the choice of having the rambo blade or a busse for free I'd choose the busse.

The "forge finish" is wildly unconvincing.

edited to remove things that hurt someones feelings, no offense intended.

I'll keep my views to myself next time. :o Its the Busse forum not the custom movie knife discussion forum.

The Rambo knife is UGLY. (and the price is outrageous) A FBM or a FSH would have really set the movie off.

Yeah, I'm not really digging that blade. But an FFBM..oh yeah:thumbup::thumbup:
