Just got this fitted together. Had a customer that wanted a forged tanto blade. The knife in the picture I forged just in case the first one didn't turn out. Its 1084 with a blade length of 7 1/2" with a total length of around 13". Ram horn and deer leg bone handle with mild steel fittings.

I would like to find out your likes or dislikes about it. My wife does not like the handle combination, I do. But each to his own......Ray

I think the blade looks awesome Ray.., but I have to say I'm with your better-half on the handle. :( I love the rear 2/3's of the handle material.., but the two smaller parts don't work estetically for me...nice knife though! Thanks for sharing the picture...

A superb looking blade, but I think the handle needs some thin metal spacers between the large spacers. Maybe a single piece of buffalo horn with a mild steel spacer? I think that would look great.

Great knife
I like your choice of handle materials, but they need some contrast between them. A thin peice of brass or something in between them might make them stand out a little more.
