Thanks Swamp Rat for making a kick a$$ knife. I used it as a general utility knife all weekend. From hacking stuff down that was less then 100 feet from wild flames, to prying open metal enclosures in a burnt down house, and cutting apart a tree that fell on top of my car.

Thanks

I'm glad the Swamp Rat worked out fine, but I'm sorry that you're in the middle of that terrible wild fire. Still, it's good to know that one of those expensive, hard use knives stood up to hard use.:D

Sorry to hear about your car. I hope you and your family are o.k. and that your home was spared.

We had our two cars packed and were ready for a quick getaway (near Poway-Scripps Ranch-Miramar) during the night, but the fires turned east and we were spared evacuation.

My newly aquired and already much used Battle Rat was the first tool chosen and last ready-to-go item that I would have thrown in my car.

Thanks guys.

The funny thing is my Howling Rat is the cheapest knife I own, but trust the most. I've bought a Rainbow Leek and a Spyderco Ladybug, but both of those serve EDC with my fiancee.
