I have a hand me down Randall #12-6 Little Bear Bowie that I need to sell to subsidize some awful car repairs. I've been buying and selling folders for years but I'm unfamiliar at best with fixed blade knives. I know the knife has significant value but I don't feel comfortable putting it in a for sale thread not knowing a fair price. The little information I do have is the name and model, and that the blade has some abrasions from where the spine was sharpened. I have included some pictures and I'd appreciate if anyone could inform me on what a good/fair/high asking price for the knife would be. Thank you.

The thing to do is to go on eBay and see what similarly optioned Little Bears have sold for.

90's with some nice options, I'd guess $500-$650 .. you'll have to put it up on ebay with a reserve or buying price you can live with. Alternately you could offer it here on the forums and not get jerked around….Bart

Due to the high demand of Randall knives, NIB examples usually command a premium on the secondary market, normally around $100 for the standard models.
Used examples will be less, unless they are extremely rare, old, or both, generally about what it would cost to order the knife from Randall and wait 4 years, unless they are abused and then it could be substantially less.
You knife does have a few additions (handle and compass), so it will bring a little more to the right buyer over a standard model.

That said, the resale market is soft, the knife is scratched up a bit, and thus I think Bart's guess is high...
