Randall 25-5

Hello gents i was thinking about picking up a 25-5 for a hunting/field all around type knife. What do you guys think, because i really don't have access to randalls unless i buy them. Thank you for your time and imfo.

That would, IMO, be a great choice - one of my favorite models too! Check out LMT's post near the end of the 'Show us your Randall's' thread - he's using his the way it was intended...good stuff!
 
The 25-5 looks like its got some belly too,i like the drop point. It would probably be fine for dressing out deer also, or do you all think a different model would be better for field dressing game. I would like it to perform various tasks in the outdoors. It looks like Lmt is definately putting his to the test. Thanks Melvin,

Although I'm not a hunter, after watching family members dress deer over the years, I'd say the 25-5 will get the job done just fine. There may be better Randall choices for field dressing but if you want it for various tasks out of doors, can't beat the 25-5. It's a hefty blade but handles and carries light. Great belt knife!
