Lately, I've been carrying a Randall 25, 5" carbon steel blade, high ride sheath, for all my little outdoor adventures. I'm not wild about the stone pouch and the sheath in general, but the knife is perfect for just about any outdoor use. I couldn't imagine a more useful blade shape and grind. Lots of relief, yet strong with a solid tip. I'm going to have a custom pouch sheath made, so it rides an inch higher and a little more snug. I'm surprised I haven't been hearing more comments about the "25" being the favorite outdoor carry knife. Anyone else agree?

I agree it's a handsome knife--has almost become Randall's signature blade. Just don't like those round handles--no torque with wet/cold/bloody hands. And I just can't get used to the tang poking through the pommel--never seemed that solid a design to me. But what the heck--both of those features are found on lots of high-end knives. That is a nice, graceful, useful blade profile, though. Good looking knife.
