Randall blade for Case Combo Kit

I received a Case XX Woodsman stag handle Combo Knife/Hatchet set from my Grandfather many years ago. A big surprise was a second, larger, Randall made blade for the handle. I've never seen one anywhere else, it seems to be very unique. Does anybody have any info on this?
