i have a friend who has a knife passed down to him by his grandfather who has already passed away. He has been wonderign how much the knife is worth and im trying to help him. I have no pictue of the knife yet, but let me describe it. The blade is 9 inches long its got a stag handle and a brass double guard with a foward curve. Also the handle has no metal cap , its jsut a plain stag handle. I went to the randall website and saw similar knives but not exact matches. this knife looks to be prety old, at least 30 years old. it has no markings other than the randall knife stamp on the balde. any help would be apreciated. thanks in advance.

How is the blade marked ....exactally.and where on the blade.
Stag varies so much you willnot see another like it.
Does it have a sheath ,check the back of the sheath and look for a date

the sheath on the back has a stamp that reads like this:

12
H.H.Heiser
Maker
Denver, Colo
9

the H.H.Heiser all the way down to denver colorado is in a circle, outside the circle on the top is a 1 2 and on the bottom there is a 9 the blade has a stamp near the guard on the blade that reads:

randall made
orlando, fla

can i now safely assume its a model 12 and the 9 is hte length of the blade? i still havent been able to find a picture of this knife. it also has no lanyard hole i found one very similar but with no lanyard hole

sounds like a 65's - 70's knife , that is usually the correct knife for the sheath
stag did not have lanyard holes as they are subgect to cracking.
Pictures would help.
