Here's another knife I never heard anything about until very recently:

It's the Randall King Phantom Reflex. Anyone knows anything about the knife or the maker?

I almost pulled the trigger on this knife a while back, but realized that I'd probably not use it. I don't need anymore knives that sit in my drawer more admired than used. Nice, though.

Got the Phantom Reflex in yesterday. I've had a little time to play with it.

I like the overall shape of the handle, it fits the hand very well..and allows the user to go to a reverse grip easily. Fit and finish are pretty good.

One big disappointment is the edge on the blade. I can only describe it as "dull". I'm not sure if the final process for sharpening the blade was skipped on my knife or not....but it will take a considerable amount of work on my part to get it up to par. I am going to call the company and let them know about this (in a nice way of course).

It is definitely not a "ruggedly" built knife like an Almar "SERE", but should be O.K. if you only need something light and fast.

We'll see how it holds up over the next few weeks and I'll report back.

I still can't get over how dull this thing is though. Surely, this is a fluke.

I can't believe a knife at that cost would normally ship with a dull edge. Let 'em know and I bet they'll want it back to make right.

Wrote them a letter, never even got a reply.

Hmm, well I'm glad I didn't go for one after all. Anyway, I've moved off knives and am back into shooting. More fun, but expensive!
