Randall Knife ID & Value?

Have a guy wanting to trade what he says is a unused 80's-vintage Randall Knife for a Boat that I'm selling. He says it's worth approximately $800 to $1000. Can anyone knowledgeable tell me what model Randle it is and what it might be worth?

It's a model #25 from after 1995 based on the snaps on the sheath. You can buy a new one for $560 plus shipping from the Randall shop or an authorized dealer.

With the info tunefink posted you can also search that model and approximate year on eBay and see what that knife has sold for in the past. As Mr. Levine has stated repeatedly, usually the third highest bid on a knife is usually it's approximate actual value.
