A friend sent me pictures of a Randall knife that he has and asked for help identifying it and an idea of when it was made. Sadly I don't know much about Randall knives so I am asking for any help you guys can provide.

Best I can say is late 70's, early 80's. Someone else might be able to tighten up the dates though. Handsome and rare knife.

Lol! Titt resurrected a 14 year old thread! Good thing it’s in the Randall section. Elsewhere on bladeforums that could get your birthday taken away.

Nice knife OP! Thanks for sharing it. Your friend has a nice knife.

A little more than half of the original 300 Shaw-Leibowitz special blade forgings initially went unetched and unsold; Randall dealer Jack Crider purchased the remaining blades and sheaths, then had the knives handled by RMK to his taste or customer order. This is one of those knives, sold in the early to mid 1980's, IIRC. Also about my favorite Randall Made offering; if your friend ever decides to let it go, I know a guy...

Thanks Sheldon that's good info! Heck I would like to have it for my collection too! Any idea what the value may be on it?
