Does anyone here actually carry and use these knives? Some of models that they have are beautiful....Might get one on secondary market, used one...any input welcome!

My son and I own several. Buying one that you can inspect is a good idea. Ours have all been very nicely fitted and finished, but they are not what some expect finish wise.

I am still thinking about getting it,might pick up something from custom section here in forums, the problem is the custom bowie that I really like costs way beyond my budget.Might go with one of Blackjack or Bark river variants, but bark rivers grinds are not perfect and small bowie I got from them I had to fix grinds myself.Older blackjack knives seem very well built and will see what comes up.If someone has any suggestions or knows a maker that makes knives in similar style as Randall but is not expensive please let me know.

Vest pocket bowie from bark river has excellent heat treat on 1084,holds edge unbelievably long and is easy to sharpen but grinds could be way better.

The Randall bowies are very nice. There are two Randall dealers (message me if you'd like the names) that sell at catalog prices, and since they have long term relationships with Randall delivery is about seven months. They will inspect the knives before sending them out. There's no need to pay secondary pricing, and you can order the exact options you want.

Sole authorship custom bowies are not cheap.

I have some unexpected expense,my car broke down today, and still don't know how much it'll cost me...:(.I own Sog Agency and its copy of Randall nor sure which model, and will have to be satisfied with it untill y budget gets back to normal.I had this knife for 10years and is not bad at all but I forgot about it.It is by no means Randall or Blackjack but would be very good fighting knife.I am planning to sell it and few of the other ones like couple benchmade fixed and folders that haven't been used and with that money work towards Randall or something similar.

Randall Bowie's are awesome, have seen some online but unfortunately they cost 1000$+ .That is out of my price range.Depends what comes up first, nice custom or Randall!Blackjack version of Randall seems fine but I like knives with thinner profile behind edge, most convex seem thick, haven't handled blackjack(barkriver)version in person but if prefer hollow grind on fighting knife.
