  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

This was due Friday, but as it was our birthday, (Yes, Janie and I have the same birthday, January 17) I did not turn my computer on until late Saturday afternoon. I had forgottten how good it felt to be off line. Late, because the Kentucky Wildcats played Notre Dame in basketball at 2:00 pm. That was even better than having the computer off.

THE SOLINGEN BLADE: I thought you might like to see how a Solingen blade looks as received by Randall from Germany. This is one of the later blades as you will see by the markings. This would also have been one of the blades the "Solingen Fighter" blades were ground from. Randall has already etched their logo on this one, but other than that, it is, as received. I have had this one about 20 years and can't remember how I came by it. Probably purchased in a collection.

Just past the ricasso cut, in an area that would be under the handle is written, MADE IN (first line)GERMANY (second line). The Randall Solingen logo etch has an "S" at the right side.
