The sheath below is a Clarence Moore sheath for a Randall Model 12-11" Smithsonian Bowie. Clarence Moore was an Orlando resident that had a leather shop in the back of the Bumby Hardware store. He made sheaths for Bo from 1937 until the early 50's. Those real nice leather brown button sheaths with no logo stamped on the back of the sheath are more than likely made by Clarence J. Moore. A sure sign of an early knife. The hunting knife and fighter models usually have a wider throat than normal. The button snap flap will usually be shaped as below.
