Randall Lore #008 Comparison Heiser-Moore Sheaths

Someone once said, "A picture is worth a thousand words." Clarence Moore of Orlando, Florida and the H.H.Heiser Company of Denver, Colorado both made sheaths for Randall knives in the 1940's and 1950's with Heiser continuing until about 1962. Heiser was much more prolific, making most of the sheaths, but a very small number were made by Clarence Moore in a back room, of the Bumby Hardware store in Orlando.

Here are two photos showing a bowie knife sheath by each maker. Both are quality sheaths, but study them closely and you will see the differences.

Best regards,

Rhett Stidham
