I have a real nice model 18 crutch tip, made in 1969. All orig. with orig riveted roughback sheath, which is in virtually new condition. The knife, itself, is in almost new condition. The blade looks unused with original factory edge. It's carbon steel and developed a few ( 2 or 3) very minor pits along the way which were polished with a little simichrome or something of that sort. Very nice knife. The knife is not for sale at this time, but can anyone fill me on on the approx. value? Seems like a good knife for me to hang onto, as all Randalls are appreciating. I'm interested in hearing from someone who has been following the values and selling prices of the crutch tip knives over the past few years. How have the values progressed? Which vintage are the most desireable? How difficult is it to come across these knives in mint orig. condition? How much does a blade in slightly less than mint condition affect the knife's value? Thanks a lot,
Pete
