Had a phone call from a retired police officer this AM, who has a Model 18 Randall he bought new in about 1967. Has a crutch tip closurer for the handle, it is stainless, he says the tang sticks into the hollow handle about 1/3 of the way. It has never been sharpened, still in the green wrapping paper it came in with the original shipping box. He says the leather sheath has some green vertigris on it, and that the knife has been in his safe since he bought it. He is looking for a value. Can anyone give a ball park value?

The sheath for this knife has a great influence on the collector value as well as certain aspects of the knife. Yes, pictures of the knife and sheath (both sides) are needed.

Rhett

First,I would like to thank John for directing me to this forum. I am the owner of the knife in question. It is a Model 18 , 5.5 Randall stainless blade. The knife is like new and has never been sharpend. There is some tarnish on the brass hilt and it has the original rubber end cap. The sheath and stone have never been used but there is some green crud around the rivets. I can provide photos. Also I took the knife to Randall's shop today and spoke to Jason Randall so if you know him you can call him to verify the condition of the knife. Bob bcd11122@aol.com
