Greetings folks.
Randall model 2, 7" or 8" ? Which one?
I do not have an opportunity to handle either knife.
I am leaning towards the 7" for balance on a reccomendation.
This knife will get used in trianing and demos.
Any thoughts on either blade length regarding balance and feel are appreciated.
thx,
Gary

Gary,

It's the end cap type option that usually determines balance more than the blade length. As to blade length, 7" or 8"; either...

Hope that helps,

Shel

That wicked blade has but one purpose , get the 8"! I agree that Brass Butcap makes the balance nicer, Bart

My first Randall in 1968 was a 7 inch model 2 to be "used". It was very quick in the hand. My son has it now.

I think that if I was going to carry it I would go for the 7" but the 8" is an awesome knife, still my favourite.

Some 8-inch knives can look pretty nice.

That's a nice looking blade ! The beauty of a Randall made knife is that it can be appreciated on display or on a belt going through the woods waiting to be used.
