It looks to me to be a Model #19 'Bushmaster' kit knife. Bought as a parts kit and assembled by the owner. Yes, but not much.
 
I read through a thread about kit knives and there is no K nor the word "kit" either stamped or engraved on the blade. Thanks, though.
 
The kit blades came to be in the 1950's, and the Bushmaster was developed in the early to mid 1960's. The K or kit marking wasn't used until the 1960's and then it was just etched, not stamped or engraved. So there may be blades out there without the designating mark and there are more than likely a few that have had the etching removed. The kit blades were discontinued in the early 70's.
