Randall Question

[JK Knives]

I was given this Randall as a gift from a very good friend, and was wondering about it. The back of the sheath is marked 8 4 X. I was told it was a Model 8 Bird and Trout, but in my old 1990 catalog the Model 8 looks different, the blade shape and guard are different. Any help would be appreciated.

You've got a model 8 "Old Style," which is one of their "non-catalogued" knives.
