I'm considering a Randall Sasquach as a SHTF fighter. Anyone who is familiar with these, I'd appreciate some feedback good or bad, especially if this is not the practicle way to go. Also, any thoughts on the hilt re the up curved double hilt vs. the lug hilt? Thanks in advance for anyone's input.
 
Those are cool lookin knives, loooong wait time for them. My experience with Randall's (Model 14 with border patrol handle) is that the handles are a bit small.
 
Chica, I'd suggest you get the smaller version with the Forward-Curved Hilt (FCH) option...it's more versatile.

If Dr. Lunde posts a picture of his black micarta handled one you will be completely sent over the edge. It is beautiful. I think he has one in Ivorite too now that I think about it.:cool:

Hey Everyone: Thanks for the input...very helpful. I was in touch with Doug Kenefick a couple of days ago. No doubt, he has the best prices going on these. If ordered today, delivery to him would be this coming November (just in time for Obama to make knives illegal as well as firearms during his second reign as King). Anyway, I'm probably going to order both the large and the small, and then decide which one to keep and which one to sell. I'd at least recoup a little more off of the one that I sell. And yes, black micarta with the single finger groove and the upswept double hilt. As you probably already know, Doug can be reached at (860) 774-7214. He requires $50.00 down payment per blade. God Save America.

Protourist: Hey many thanks. That's exactly the one, actually one of the two that I ordered from Doug Kenefick; one large and one small. I talked to him again today just before I mailed my deposit and was told that the small one is not available in carbon steel. As much as I hate stainless steel, I could not pass up on the oportunity to own a set. I'm going to bookmark your last photo posting with the black micarta so that I can drool everyday until November when they hopefully arrive by then.
