Pardon the flame theatrics, but traveling and UPS just brought to me, at a friends house in Minnesota, this great Randall. He was away and I grabbed the rug off the back porch, which did not make for a very good contrast. By the way the friend is none other than, Henry Okleshen. Henry is professor/chairman of the finance department of Minnesota State University. Henry retires in May and will be Chief Operating Officer of KAN, www.KnifeAuctions.NET. Look for brighter things there, as Henry, is very industrious.
I have a purpose here, other than the plug for KAN. In the next Randall Knife Society newsletter in May/June I will tell you how you can order one of these knives. Where you can order the sterling fittings and how much, as well as, for other Randall models. Also a story/history on Ron Skaggs and his pricing schedule and delivery time.
The knife is a Randall Sportsman's Bowie with sterling silver spacers, sterling lugged hilt and sterling butt. The engraving is by Ron Skaggs and has gold inlay.
