The Randall Forum has been kind of dead. I finally got around to getting a photo host to download some pictures. The top knife is my Model 14, with Border Patrol Handle. I think I purchased it around 1980. The kydex sheath was made by someone at the Cutlery Shoppe. The Model 12, 9 inch Sportsman's Bowie was purchased around 1967. My CO had one and up to then I had never heard of Randall Knives. I believe at the time it took about 18 months to get that knife. It was an excellent field knife, cutting a lot of brush for camo and fire lanes. It is big and that is why I got the 14 to replace it. The bottom knife is a model 1, 5 inch which I carry in the woods. I do not remember when I received it. It was a replacement for one that was taken from my jeep by a couple of kids who stole all my camping equipment one late night. In between these knives I had an 18 Attack-Survival. Got taken in by the Rambo fad. I gave it to my son when I received the 14. I blued the blades with some over the counter gun blue. The brass was originally painted with the paint we used to touch up our insignia. (N-Mu?) The two older ones have replacement sheaths. I still have the originals that are in well worn shape. Some day I may clean off the blue and paint. They are razor sharp and I would never part of them. For the price I think they are the best knives made.

Nice, well used knives! Yup, don't get rid of them, ever!

I bought a jar of the cold blue also, and a jar of "brass black" to subdue a #1 I was carrying, but before I could get around to it, I retired (1976 – 1999). As I remember, that cold blue really stinks!
