...Personally, my wife and I love them dearly! We can't get enough of them, as I can attest to from a post I made in "Knives wanted"...lol
--------------------
Our collection(s), are being built with set goals in mind, and we're focusing on those goals. To wit: we're being careful with our acquisitions, and the dollars spent towards completion of our goals.
That being said...
We're building a 'one of each' collection of the various Randall Made Knives (RMK) models, #1 thru #27. We're collecting standard models in the 01/brass/leather/duraluminum configuration, or that what most closely constituted a 'standard' configuration for a specific model.
To that end, we still need models #6, #8, #9, #10, #21, #24, and #27.
Again, we're looking for standard models in the 'stacked leather' configuration. We've ordered a 'special' #7-5 with the #6-9 grind, sheath stamped '6-5', so that one is covered. The #8 can be had with a leather washer handle, so that's not an issue...but, if you have one, we'd love to buy it from you if you're selling...
We have a #9, but would like to find one with a factory sheath...and we have a #10, but it's a 'Jack Crider dealer special'...it fills the bill, but it's not a stock 'catalog' model...again, no biggie.
The model #21 is an inexpensive knife as RMK's go, so no hurry, and we've never seen one in leather, so we're holding off on that one. The #27 with a #25 handle is pretty common, and we should stumble across one here soon with the Feb. show circuit...which brings us to the #24.
We're looking for a 'white' Micarta handled #24, the earlier the better.
So, with regards to the Randall's...we're still looking for models #6, #8, and #21 in leather handle, #27 with the #25 handle, a #9 with sheath, a #10-5 'standard', and an early #24 in white Micarta.
Now...we have some 50 odd RMK's, so we obviously have some trading stock, mostly in the stacked leather 'standard' configuration.
Also, we looking for RKS 'club' knives, and mini's in #1 and #25 (we have a mini #3 to trade with).
Truthfully, most of our RMK's are post '95, and we're going to try to get the collection to the point that each RMK in our collection was made within a few years of that model's introduction...
...which means, we're interested in older 'clean' RMK's for each of the models in the RMK line, AND we'll have RMK's of each model to sell or trade, but...we'll want to get the replacement knife before we sell or trade a knife that we only have one version of.
Hopefully, we can help other like-minded RMK enthusiast's find what they're looking for, find what we're looking for, and most importantly, SHARE some of the knowledge that we're all looking for.
Feel free to email with any RMK questions you have, and if we can help we will.
Anyhoo, thanks for reading, and I hope that helps answer any questions you may have.
