Randle knife handle material

I have a Smithsonian bowie with the brass lugged hilt, concave shaped grip and the scalloped brass coolie cap. The handle material is what I believe is an ivory colored micarta. It is yellowish in color. I bought this knife about 20 years ago from an older gentleman that had it in his collection. I recently bought a Raymond Thorpe and a Confederate bowie with white handles. A catalog I have from 2013 lists a new ivorite handle material, but says it is only available on knifes with up to 9" blades. I am curious about what handle material might be on the two newer bowies and if it will age to a yellowish tint like the Smithsonian handle or could be aged to look like the Smithsonian handle.

If no one has any knowledge of the above subject, does anyone know where, or who I might find the info I am looking for?
