The King was the reason I bought kydex and learned how to use it...a month or two later...he FINALLY gets his Kydex Pants!
And the new belt-sander was used...gave my handles the final touch-up. I'm done with em, I like em.

The zytel drills just fine people....finally remembered to do it..I used a 1/2'' bit, left just enough of the circle's inset to lock on the blade still. Not quite as large as the hole.

After a few experiments and testing...I had etch spots and ugliness all over my poor 2....so last night it got a bleach bath, I like how it came out...nice and dark. Instead of blueing it and leaving it in for an hour..I blued it, left it in bleach for 25 minutes, then washed and sanded it, then repeated it for another 25 minutes...washed sanded, then made a crosshatch pattern of blue on it with a q-tip and soaked it for 45 minutes. then washed, sanded and reblued...then polished with 1,500 grit

It also got new pants, trying out the Coyote Brown.

And I got Renegade's giveaway prize made up today as well.

and my Wohlwend tin-knife arrived.

I also made it to the P.O. so everyone's packages are in the mail.

That was my Monday, how was y'alls?

:)

looking good man...once again, thanks for the kick ass taco! I will be taking some pics and posting in a bit...

Lookin good, whats up the 2's demon-handles? lol. LOVE the micarta on the 9. Denim? Did you stitch it together first? it looks like there's a stitch seam running around the contour. Very cool!

Looks like a very productive day. Your BK2 came out great, I really like that.

Awesome brown sheath for it too, possibly your best one yet.

How you planning to carry the 9 sheath?

Thanks. I like how the ''multi-etch'' came out.

The 2 sheath is fitted a tad tight but I like retention above all else. (and I really need to remember to TAPE THE DAMN BLADES before pressing the sheath) The 9 sheath is perfect, or as close to perfect as I get LOL

The 9 is fitted for a Lerge teklok or Molle lock, I size all my sheaths for 'em, but I will likely strap it to a pack or just shove in toolbox of truck more then I belt carry it. Im gonna devise a baldric rig for it one of these days

I just had to look that up. I didn't know what it was called but I have been thinking about that kind of rig lately.

I have been experimenting with my BK 17 that way with a big loop of paracord.

I was thinking that it might be a great way to wear the 9 on my left leaving my handgun and spare magazines lots of room on the right.

I'm keeping an eye open for a cheap shoulder holster (like Uncle Mikes) to cannibalize...I have an idea, to strip all the holster part off, and make a kydex ''mount'' to attach the 9's sheath to..so it will be hanging vertical upside down under the left shoulder.

Outstanding stuff there...great work. Looks like you have been plenty busy. I really appreciate the sheath and I am looking forward to getting it soon...Thanks so much!

When I did my black scales I used a 5/8th bit. I didn't want that little bit left though.

I was thinking inverted shoulder carry or inverted chest carry would be nice for the larger Beckers. Although I think for something like the 4 or 6 I would like it cross my shoulders.

Love the work you been doing lately man!

I was thinking inverted shoulder carry

I saw a "concealed carry" paracord rig for kydex sheaths, it was like a shoulder holster design for hand guns, the kydex sheath attaches with two eyelets closest to the point and the paracord goes behind your neck and back and in front of your arms.

Found it, it's called the Mercharness, made by Spartan Blades, here's a picture: 360cbc193435773b032f88e5cb13031e.image.163x200.jpg

this is what I'm thinking...rough draft of course. I would streamline the attachment points/method and braid a shoulder strap instead of just a single cord. I like how it rides though...very comfy/out of the way...yet easy to access.

I know a place where i can buy a generic ''one size fits all guns'' chinese shoulder holster. I may pick one up for ~12 bucks and see what I can turn it into. My problem is I'm large so it's hard to find a comfy shoulder-rig

That looks more like a modified baldric rig to me, but that's just me and I'm fairly inexperienced with all the different carries, all I know is what I've read and what I've done to my own sheaths.

Hey dude looks like the ramp came off of your BK-9 somehow, if you want you can send it to me and in the meantime I'll loan you my superior, ramped 9.

That paracord looks like Spiderman got drunk and shot it on your kydex. I do love the idea of a shoulder holstered blade.
