Just saw this today - according to Gavin Hawk microtech is using Hawks lockup design in their new otf's. Shameful if true. I suppose we will find out when the lawsuit is complete.

I wish I could say this was some sort of surprise...but it seems to be in line with other credible reports made over the years.

(I've sold my few Microtech knives, including the prototype I named for them back in the late-ish 90's during an afternoon visit in FL.)

I would have edited my post but I'd rather just go on record to say that what I admire more than someone's ability and skill in knife making is their integrity. You have both in spades, Josh, and that is why I have been a vocal supporter of your work since I joined the party.

That was my thought too. He never stated in the video…

He didn't say it directly in the video but he said they would routinely develop new ideas and patent them then sell permission to use the parents to other designers or makers
