I first heard about Busse in 2001 while working at Vector arms where everyone I worked with was obsessed with Guns an Blades in some way.. an old biker guy that worked there a couple years had a very old Busse knife with solid pins and he said it was made with ats34..(according to him) he talked about how indestructible the knife had been for him an it went on his bike with him everywhere. He is the reason I fell in love with Busse... I'm curious how INFI compares to that old steel? Close? Much tougher? I have always wondered...

Old biker guy, hmm wonder if Jimmy Jones came through Utah and did not tell me ?

As I have heard Jerry say, it is the way they cook em that really makes a difference.

the steels do matter and if ATS 34 was better than INFI they would still use it.

But the Busse gang can better answer the question.

p.s. contact me we have a meet and greet in Ogden Saturday I need more Busse guys there.

Will do David, I'm in SLC so I'm not to far.. I need to have more knife nuts around me for sure. I'll drop you an email. Talk to you then my friend..

Those old ATS 34 Busses are pretty much useless. If you have one you should send it to me for proper disposal. I'll even replace it with a similar blade made of INFI, just because I'm a nice guy like that, and I wouldn't want to see someone be forced to use one of those inferior old blades just because they don't have the option to have some INFI. Yep, those old ATS34 blades aren't worth their weight in empty JWB bottles......

Horrible things they are. They should all be banished to a remote location in northern B.C. for proper safekeeping, uh, I mean, disposal.

Been so long it's hard to remember... i guess it could have been the Steel Heart but I feel like it was a little smaller but I could be wrong. It was a solid mother of a blade... wish I could track him down, I'd love to know what it was. And if he's alive I guarantee he still has it. He loved that blade! By the way Thank you Knifehunter for making my last blade purchase such a pleasure! Your a stand up guy!
