So i'm sitting here watching walking dead seasons 1 and 2 on netflix while playing with some sharp object and making them sharper, and i started to wonder... What show(s) inspire you to maintain, tinker or embellish your knives?

Various cooking shows where you can see the chefs working extra hard to chop carrots or scallions.

David Lynch's Dune, or Blade Runner. No matter what I'm doing, I can stop and watch fora few minutes then go back to tinkering with my knives.

This is what I tend to notice too, though I notice the 'good' examples more than the bad ones. Can't help but be impressed at how the thinner blade geometry of many kitchen/chef's knives used by some of these 'pros' makes a huge difference, when they're chopping onions or similar. That sort of drives me to keep thinning my blades a bit, and it's been paying off. And a larger & thicker-bladed chef's knife with a full convex is a beautiful thing to watch at work, in skilled hands. :)
