New obscure RAT pictures. I liked them both so I posted them both.

You can't beat the RC-3!

Thanks I borrowed this crazy device contraption kind of thing called a tripod. It like a James Bond tool. I don't own one but watch out, I could do some serious damage with it.

Yeah the tripods are excellent for setting up shots like the ones you often post. One of things I like about them is them, is that because they are a bit of a pain to set up, you tend to look through the viewfinder more to figure out what should be included or not. Often times, when just snapping a hand held shot, your eyes are focused on the subject in the viewfinder but not always looking at the distractors.

Plus, the tripold lets you bracket shots more easily. All of this said, I haven't been using a tripod in a while, but today, after cleaning out the garage I found my portable one.

The convex edge is great. I have a few Bark River's with the convex, but my favorite is a scandi. We need a Scandi grind Rat

the Convexed RC4 looks razor sharp as does your RC3....

You know all it does is knock off the corner or shoulder of the bevel so there is no steepness it just goes into the edge gradually and smooth. The RAT edge geometry is Legendary, it slices way better than most 3/16" thick knives on food. The convex just gets my fuzz sticks done smoother and all I need is a small ultra light piece of sandpaper for the edge. This is a dramatic difference in the RC-3 with its thinner blade. I still can't decide wich is my favorite.
