So I've got an unusual random request and I couldn't think of any other place to ask this. My wife and I are having our first child and we just found out that it will be a GIRL!!! This will be my first child so I'm pretty pumped! I am however dreading the next 21 years of constantly worrying about a daughter of mine in this world we live in...

This brings me to my request. Does anyone have a leather shoulder holster for a 1911 or a Glock 21/20 that I could borrow for a picture? I will send a Bussekin knife to you for collateral to make you feel more secure and also to have a new temporary friend to hang out with. I would cover all shipping as well. My wife and I would like to take a picture to announce that it's a girl and we are thinking of me being dressed up in a suit with a cigar, shotgun, and leather shoulder holster with pistol and a sign saying something along the lines of "Future boyfrieds beware". The only hiccup is that I don't have a leather shoulder holster. If it doesn't work out no worries but I figured it couldn't hurt to ask. I'm about to look at the new TGBG on last time before I head to bed and will check the post in the morning. Goodnight to all and thanks for reading!

Congrats man! But be warned and I feel for ya, with a boy you only have to worry about 1 penis on the block. with a girl you have to worry about every tom dick and harry in the neighborhood

First of all.......Congratulations!:D:thumbup:

You should be able to find a shoulder holster in one of the catalog stores for about what you would spend on all the shipping involved in your plan.;)

Thank you both! Yep you are right. Looks like I can find a cheap one for about the same price of shipping.

Sounds like you should probably be picking up that shoulder holster anyhow.

Congrats.

Yea...I was gunna say the same thing. Check U.S. Cavalry. ..they may have a $13.99 special on a holster for ya. I have a Serpa holster you could use but it's not shoulder and it is left handed. Congrats on you baby girl! My baby girl will be 3 this month....I feel your pain. On a good note, the exact moment she comes into this world will be the most exciting time of your life, maybe not your wife's, but trust me...greatest feeling in the world. I was so pumped up and excited after my wife delivered I looked at her and said...."That was so fun, lets do it again" my wife would have slapped.the crap out of me if she could have. Congrats man and I wish you a healthy and happy baby.

Congrats I am going through the same thing. My little girl is six months old. I have my gun cleaning kit and sharpening equipment ready for the first guy that tries to take her out. LOL Plus I think I will have a few long range targets on the wall and tell them they can run but I can still hit them. LOL

Maybe you'll have that TGBG in time to cut the cord ;) Congrats to you and your wife

Oh and always remember...a gun in the hand is worth two in the holster

Thanks everyone! I have plenty of guns and holsters but I just don't have a leather shoulder holster. I wanted this for the "classic look" and didn't think the nylon one that I have would give me that.

Fear not. We have boy/girl twins and our daughter was by far the easier child to raise.

True Story:

In 1994 I ordered my first Busse, a BB steel Heart II. In October of that year I had bypass surgery, and my knife arrived almost simultaneously with the surgery.
A few days after surgery, I was in the den in a recliner examining my new knife. I was wearing an open pajama top, with the ugly red, still irritated looking scar running down my chest and also two ugly puncture wounds where the drain tubes had been.

Kim was thirteen at the time, and unfortunately attracting boys like flies. She walked through the den with a local kid, 15 or so, too old to be hanging around her, in tow. As they walked through, I saw him eyeing my chest and the large knife I was holding. As they walked back through, he was again staring, and I said, "Son, you should have seen the loser."

I never saw him again at my house. Kim was furious then, but laughs about it now.

Congrats man! Sorry sold my shoulder holster.....just always be cleaning a gun or knife when a boy stops by, that should get the point across!
