Check out the progress on the next batch headed to heat-treat.

I have to get these done now...to be ready in a couple months...:foot:

6 Nessmuks in 1/8" 1095
5 Pikal Parers (including one shorty :D) in S30V
5 K6 Kardas in CPM154 stainless
6 K5 Kardas in 1/4" thick CPM 3V
6 Maters in 13C26 fine-grain stainless
4 Nessmuks in 1/4" thick CPM 3V
3 Santokus in oversize 1/8" CPM154

A few of these are orders...but the rest are (hopefully) gong to be on my table at the Blade Show.

Whatcha think? Any of these belong to you?

:D

Dan

Note:

Still need to do the following before I can send 'em out:

1 - Finish drilling the handle holes (including drilling out tangs)...and countersinking ALL holes to prevent stress risers in heat-treat.
2 - Grinding the "45s" (already done on the Pikal Parers)
3 - Grinding the bevels (torture on the 1/4" thick 3V Nessmuks.... )

Wait, so I won't be the only one with a pikal parer?! I thought I was special!

You ARE special Snowman....just....ya know...in your own special way...!

 :D :p

:foot:

Not yet....:D

And I do have several already heat-treated in S30V...;)

Dan

Looks like somebody is going to be busy!

I like seeing the stuff in different stages, Makes it easier to wait when you see what goes into it.

LOL!!!

The K5 Kardas will get a design to the holes drilled - since they will end up skeletonized....while the 3V Nessmuks just get the crap drilled out of 'em...no care given to looks...:D

I'm really looking forward to the 13C26 Maters.....it's 0.100" thick...they should make for some crazy nice cutters in the kitchen....and the steel is a "fine grain stainless"...easier to sharpen, easy to maintain.

Huh?

What happened to 'em?!?

Somebody walk off with 'em?

Oh, wait....there's just hiding...
