At the MKA show which was reported on in August, this folder was one of a number of knives on the table of a fairly new maker -- Randy Williams

This is a large folder being 11" OAL with a 5" ATS 34 blade with SS fittings and Honey Buffalo horn scales. Fit and finish is first rate with a very smooth action. Randy also does this stiletto with a guard but personally, I prefer this version.

I got to play with that one - very nice work overall. And a LOT of knife in a folder.

That is sweet.

It looks like a very modern variation of a classic design.

Best of both worlds so to speak.

I really like this one. Just my kind of different. Any other photos of his swinguards?

Murray, do you have a contact, or website? Nothing in Knives 2008.

I probably should redo this shot to lighten it up a tad.

Randy has been showing at the NWKC show for a couple of yrs. now and all your impressions are correct about his knives. They are continuously being refined as well. He has also had a hand in some of the development work of the Caldwell's mid-techs. Before I had seen this thread this evening, I ordered one this weekend at the NWKC show with checkered handles, which by the way, is some of the best checkering I've seen. I'd also add that his prices are very reasonable.

Support your local knife show.

all the info his card had on it is in the post a couple up from this one as a response to Coop. Best I can do as he is not listed elsewhere as I understand it.

Hi Randy, not a problem. it is a fine knife and I'm pleased to add it to my collection of folders. Don't know if you have looked but poke around

www.phymurphotos.fototime.com

see knives and lots of travel photos. have a couple of knives to photograph yet and will be doing threads for them soon and I'm busy working on all the travel photos we did this year and will be posting those soon too.

Now you need a website. Feel free to use the photo and if you need larger file, just email me and I can send that.

I'm sure Coop will be able to help with other knives.

Here is my Italian Classic Stiletto I just pick up. I also have a Tactical Stiletto that I carry. I was just searching around and came across this thread I know its a older thread but his knives are great and deserve another look.

VERY nice Murray! CONGRATS!

To me, it has a classic Italian stiletto look, without a guard.

I picked up one of Randy's knives, and have another order pending. Yup, really good.

Per-sev, where did you acquire that stiletto?

I got it from PVK. I had talked to Randy and he told me he had just shipped it out to Josh at PVK so I called Josh and told him to send me a pic when he got it and it was just what I was looking for so I bought it before Josh had a chance to post it. His knives are a great deal this Stiletto is perfect. I was told also that he has only made 150 of this design since 2004. So there are not many of the Classic Italian Stiletto's out there.

Just purchased the double bolster Italian Classic above, from Per-Sev about 3-4 weeks ago. Will see it in about 2 weeks...birthday gift from my fiancee. Got a few Randy Williams stilettos and looking for a few more. When you find a knife that's perfect for you, it's hard not to want more of the same. So, if anyone wants to get rid of theirs, I'm listening.

Looking forward to being involved with BF. I'm a new member so I thank all other members in advance for their patience with my limited (but improving) computer skills. Later, birdave.
