I have been on a search for a good quality range bag solution. I am looking for a soft bag that doesn't look "tactical" or make it obvious what I'm carrying. I am currently using a Husky (Home Depot) tool bag. I want something that will carry 3 handguns (two semi 9MM and a 6" barrel 44 Mag revolver) and 200-300 rounds of ammo as well as ear and eye protection. I would be willing spend up to $100. I'm interested in hearing any suggestions you may have.

Maxpedition, Tactical Taylor, & 5.11 all make gear that might suit your needs.

For your sanity try and find something with a light-colored interior. All of my range bags are black inside and it is a pain in the ass to find something by looking inside. I usually have to fish my hand around trying to find a magazine.

You are on the right track re a tool bag. Look at the different mechanics tool bags. Can be found inexpensively compare to range bag but of equal or better quality. Seems mechanics are a bit more practical than shooters regarding their money.
