Just wanted to share a few photos of a custom Ranger Knife that just came today from Justin Gingrich at Ranger Knives. Excellent worksmanship and he is a total nice guy to deal with.
Thanks again Justin,
-Ford

About 10.75" OAL of satin-finished .25" 5160 dressed in green canvas micarta with red liners. Yowza!! This is one "industrial strength" blade.

Hope you all enjoy the view.

those are nice pix, good close up quality, what megapixals are you using? I have a 5, and access to a 8 megapixel...thinking of taking a few pix soon.

Thanks to all for the nice comments.

I shoot with a Canon G2 with 4.1 mp.

Here's the custom that I scored at Blade:

It's my first but definitely not my last Ranger !

Is that a lanyard hole on the end? Did it come from the shop like that or did you bore that out yourself ?

A few more of Justin's excellent work ...

Left to Right.....

-Bowie based on a RD6 frame, but 1.5" high.
This is for my oldest grandson (15) who hopes to attend the USNA like his uncle (my youngest son) did.
Satin finish, top swedge sharpened, flat ground, and tan linen micarta handle w / red spacers.

-Basic RD7 for me.
Black coated finish, black canvas micarta handle (paracord covering it).

-Modified RD7 for my oldest son. He is a LtCol in the USMC, and is the CO of my old regiment.
I got this for him to carry into combat, if he chooses to do so.
The handle is red, black, and tan linen micarta w / white spacers.
I had the blade height also reduced to 1.5" to fit easier in a Spec Ops sheath.
Black coating, saw back, blade serrations, modified spear / tanto point.

-Modified RD7 for my youngest son. He is a USNA grad, and fighter pilot on one of the Nimitz Class carriers.
I got him this so he could have one similar to his brother. I doubt if he will carry this while flying.

I am extremely pround of my two boys.
All of the fine young men and women who serve in our military deserve our support, respect, and prayers.
They are the best of what Our Great Nation has created.

I did find that shirt with the " V " on it ...

JGarth,
Great looking knives, and my hat's off to your sons and their service to our United States.

Those are some nice blades! I like that smaller bowie. Something like that with a 4 inch blade would be pretty cool

Pop,
Thanks, and do all you can to support ALL of the fine young people help who keep us safe. They need to know we are in their corner. It really helps their morale.

Red,
I dunno ... 4" might be kinda short for a Bowie ....

Couldn't agree with you more. It's the most important thing Americans can do these days.

I was inspired so I ordered one to. This is my sixth Ranger and definitely one of my favorites!

Here are my custom Rangers, RD-3.5, shortened handle and lanyard hole with black and blue G10, RD-3.75 with orange scales, and a penetrator tip, and a flat ground little bird with black and blue scales.:D
