Hardened tool steel he took one to Irac & beeat the stuffing out of it & it weathered very well.

Justin and I chopped a car up with one of these in Baghdad, with little effect to the edge. Then we worked on some concrete and wood and wire and... we couldn't get it to fail as much as we tried.

These things are designed to give more of a beating than they receive. I keep one in my trunk at all times.
