well, I run across this thrower... the price is quite steep  considering I could get any custom made thrower for well less then $100. Has anyone handle this knife?

I believe it's made to have "mission" knife capabilities based around a thrower. I think they went with a throwing knife first and then modified it for more general type use. ... I dunno...

NI200

The thrower is made from 3/8ths thick H13 tool steel. The bevels are machine cut. The pice comes from the combination of the two. H13 is a very hard use tool steel and is a bit more spendy than the typical 1095 or 1060. It isn't your average thrower or average knife for that matter. It will do just about anything you want with absolutley no fear of breakage. Hope that helps even if my opinion is a little bias. :D

Justin,

I have no experience with H13, maybe I should try a small one first, anyway, thanks for your reply.

Certainly looks tough... I dunno about the design though. Looks like it'd almost have to be a blade-thrower, and with sharp edges on both sides...

At least I can't see that paracord-wrapped handle sliding smoothly out of your grip.

Bit pricier than my two for 19.95 "Worlds Largest Throwing Knife!" items from Bud K......

I have one, and it throws pretty good. The cord wrapped handle loosens up though, and I'm sure you can take it off with no problem, but I haven't yet.

It's got a lot of bulk to it and blade throws are really tricky because it's sharp.

This is probably one of the toughest multi purpose throwers I have.

That's one heck of a huge throwing knive. It's stock is real THICK!!! This thing should be heavy... but it's only an advantage to me... I think the handle should be ok for throwing, just needs some time to get used to. Double edge makes blade throwing impossible, though. But it refers to any double-edged knife, not only this one. The price on this thing is ... well, too high for me, but if you've got $$$ looks like the knive is well made and will do throwing chores as well as combat, cutting and chopping very well. ivan.
