Ranger RD-9 workout

Spent some time in the hills today so i figured i would try out the RD-9 i bought off the boards recently.The weather was stormy so i didnt go in as deep as usual,just made a stop on top of the 1st mountain for some chopping. I think this is gonna be a great trail knife but i will have to spend more time with it to know for sure.

Justin/Ranger makes good stuff.

I haven't heard anything about the Ontario version of Ranger. I just hope Justin don't get the same run-around that Mike and Jeff at RAT have gotten, when it comes time to part ways.

Did it pour the rain in Pike County yesterday, like it did here in Floyd County?

Yeah it did rain some .I just load a Gore-tek outfit on my ATV and get out of the house rain or shine.I can only sit in front of a PC/TV for a little while then i gotta be doing something.

That is one of the Ontario Rangers right? How did the edge hold up to your chopping? My understanding is that 5160 is a great steel for choppers.

Yes it's an Ontario Ranger,im not sure what steel it is.The edge is good so far BUT this was it's maiden voyage,i have yet to give it good beating and see what it's made of.Time will tell.
