I don't have a lot of experience with Ontario knives - I've got 2 that I've had for several years, and a 22" HD machete that I've had for about 2 yrs.
While I like the Ranger series, the handles are blocky, and not particularly comfortable...and this is coming from someone that usually thinks handles aren't big enough. Here's a stock handle (should be relatively easy to guess what knife it is)

After using my RD7 for a bit, I decided that I had to reshape the scales a bit. This was just a quick and dirty job with a file, done just before I left for a weekend in the woods...it isn't perfect; but it's a lot more comfortable.

I'll probably take them down just a little more with the file, and refine the shape a bit, as well - I've been meaning to finish it for about two years, lol; but I don't want to mess with a good thing.
