I am considering buying the Shiv for Ranger Knives and was hoping someone might have some firsthand insight on the product and some pics, not yet sure wether I am gonna pick one up. ;)

Go to the knife forums site. They have lots of info and pics there. It's quite the knife from what I've read and seen at knifeforums.
 
You might want to consider getting some handles for it. Like Micarta or G-10 which would only cost you an extra 15 or bucks.
