SO i convinced my mom to get me a shiv for christmas. i have heard nothing but good from people on the forums about ranger knives and i cant wait to get it. that adn the price adn warranty are top quality. i cant wait to get it. sadly though i wont get the sheath with it right away:( it is on back order. oh well;)
 
You will like it. I have many $500-$1,000 knives, and just bought a shiv two weeks ago, dispite being a great value, I'm really into it as a daily user. Justin makes some tuff stuff.

um it didnt give me a chioce for the sheath eric. i got the knife from armorysupply.com. i am guessing it is just a basic sheath. ill probalby have to order a nice custom one later. and i paln on using it as an everyday carry. no use in jsut having it sit around if i cant beat it up ;p and i did thank my mom. she rocks. now to figure out how to take it to college...

Just to throw some advice in here,

Taking it to college is one thing, carrying it is another. I have carried many knives to many different colleges in my struggling years throughout Texas. Carrying fixed blades around a campus irks a lot of people, too many sheeple. Size isn't really the problem. Hell my psychology teacher carried a cold steel folding 5" blade and another 5" blade with it since he couldn't carry his side arm onto campus. (He was proficient in knife defense as he trained frequently). That aside tho, in all honesty I would save up for a good folder to use for utility purposes if you intend to carry a knife around.

For the price you can get a folding griptilian for $60 which is an extreme knife for the money and if you pull it out to cut something you won't get a bunch of people squirming away from you or running to the nearest campus officer.
 
first off what is trolling? if it is something bad then i am not trying to do it.:rolleyes: and eric i couldnt ask you to get me one for no charge(that is what i was told n/c is if i am wrong than forgive me) and i appreciate the advice death. i was thinking that too. too many sheeple. i just dont get how we have changed so much in 100 years. from everyone carying whatever they want to getting arrested for saks. but thats life. as for now...I CANT WAIT to get the shiv :thumbup:

eric i really appreciate your generosity. you are a great guy. i think i will take you up on your offer. i have read in the forums that you make excellent sheaths...and well, ive been told to never look a gift horse in the mouth:foot: ill make sure to let you know. thanks once again for your help. now ill be carrying in style hahaha
 
Ranger's are great knives
Eric make great sheaths.

But I wouldn't carry a shiv as a EDC in college. This is just a bad idea.
 
i didnt mean bring it to college for an EDC, i meant bring ti to college adn keep it in my room without getting in trouble. i know alot of guys around here who got in trouble for bringing a knife with them to the dorms. i just want ti there for when i go hicking and fishing or whatever im gonna do.

gah! i got the shiv today, i got to the box and everything, but my parents refuse to give me an early present:grumpy: im so bummed out right now:(
 
Your just going to have to wait................like the rest of us:( But it will be worth it:D:thumbup:
