Not really a rant. I want a new Spyderco so bad and I’m sick of not buying one! Hahaha. Being cautious spending until the dust clears after Xmas.

I have and absolutely love a k390 Endela. VG10 Endura. An old serrated model that had the molded in clip. A maxamet native 5 that chips easy.
Lost a pacific salt not long ago. Really like that one in addition to endura and endela.
I miss having a Millie, PM2 and GB1.

Besides the Bradley, pm2 and Millie, I’m constantly looking at;

Police 4 in k390, Shaman, Native Chief, delica in k390 and Watu. I like the big ones but there’s a place in my heart for the delica and Watu as well.

My preference would be for the size of pm2 and bigger.

chief does look great. I wish the black g10 k390 police 4 were still around. I have no issue with frn, it’s just a little variety I’d like. I’d be happy with frn just the same.
Shaman seems awesome but it seems the police 4 and native chief would edge it out as cutters.

When the stars line up and the moon is in the right phase, the timing will be good only then , just think about how much you’ll appreciate whichever one you get.

I've had the G10 and FRN K390s and the Native Chief wins it for me. I love how thin the blade is and I prefer the blade shape - the point rather that the small drop. Aloha and enjoy the season!

Thank you...it slices and feels even better than it looks. It's a k390 blade from a LW Police dropped into custom Micarta handles from Sunigab. The watch is a Maratac Large Pilot.

I've found Military shaped blades to work well for my use, but I prefer a good old-fashioned midlock with full choil...Police fits the bill and I even like the handle profile.

I'd suggest trying a LW Police in VG10...they're readily available for around $120 +/- ....

I've seen lightly used ones here on the Exchange even cheaper. VG10 is one of my favorite steels...MOF, I will probably swap out the K390 blade with my VG10 blade because the oil I keep on the K390 keeps absorbing into my Micarta handles.
