Raphaël Durand, one of the top knifemakers in France just made a new model and I'm the lucky one who got the first one :D
it's named the "Ork", it's not really a little slip-joint, as his RWL-34 blade is about 9,5 cm or 3,7" it still fits in my pocket so it's stille a perfect length for my bigger every day use and a splendid companion at the table and in the kitchen; it's OAL is 21 cm or 8,2".
The most remarquable is the fact that the knife is a lightweight, around 100g.
the scales are very nice, it's "Pale Moon Ebony" wood; as usual the fit and finish is just perfect, now the pics, thank you all for reading ;)

Very nice knife, really a clean design and execution.
What is the type of construction? i mean, is there a hidden kick built on the spring to prevent the edge slamming when closed?

I am a big fan of Raphael's work. The Ork is a great design. Hope he has one in Atlanta this year. Congratulations!

I love his work too! Got to handle several of his folders at Blade this past Summer... just wish I had more $$ in my pocket at the time. I really regret not picking up one of his folders when I had the chance.

:) thank you all for the comments, the Ebony pale moon is really nice, he made one other with that kind of wood as far as I remember;
@jparanee: the G10 Bad'Ass is well, a badass knife, super light for such a solid knife
@ stezann: well that's a fact, like most slip-joint (and other) knives he uses a stop pin but it's hidden inside so he becomes a very "clean" outside;
@ canineforge & Redsnake: he'll be there this year also, so good luck my friends ;)
